‘J11 PTW’ is a second generation Porsche Cayman dating from 2009 making it a 987.2 version with the larger 2.9-litre mid mounted boxer engine. A UK supplied and specified model, ‘J11 PTW’ is offered with the highly desirable six speed manual transmission, ‘J11 PTW’ has been in its current and sixth ownership for just over 3 years. This Cayman has been well cared for throughout its life and was last serviced in July 2024. ‘J11 PTW’ comes complete with the original book pack (including service booklet), two keys and a box file full of invoices and other paperwork. A full set of Michelin Pilot Sports tyres are fitted and ‘J11 PTW’ benefits from an advisory free MOT which is valid until October 2025.

The Cayman first appeared in 2005 as a hardtop, hatchback version of the second generation Boxster. Named after the member of the alligator rather than the Caribbean Island group, the Caymans right up to 2012 were built by Valmet Automotive in Finland. ‘J11 PTW’ is an early 2.9-litre example with the power output from its mid-slung boxer engine originally quoted at 265bhp. This is mated to the generally preferred six speed manual transmission lending the Cayman a 160mph plus top speed and a sub six second 0-60mph time. The mechanical condition of ‘J11 PTW’ is rated as “good “overall.

‘J11 PTW’ is finished in a Seal Grey livery which suits the hardtop coupe very well indeed. The Cayman’s body makes this Porsche surprisingly practical for this type of car. The hatchback configuration gives access to storage both above and in front of the low, mid mounted engine. The cabin is the usual Porsche object lesson in sporting style, being fastidiously fitted and finished with high quality materials. ‘J11 PTW’s’ cabin is finished in varying hues of black and is rated as “good” by the vendor. The paintwork and bodywork are also rated “good.”

In summary:

  • A superb looking example of this revered Porsche coupe
  • Compete with a great archive of provenance providing paperwork
  • Recently serviced and complete with an advisory free MOT until October
