The vendor informs us this desirable early-production 1964 Ford Mustang is an increasingly rare example, featuring the sought-after 260 cubic inch V8 engine paired with the preferred manual gearbox — a configuration highly prized among marque enthusiasts. Finished in a handsome colour scheme and fitted with a factory-style vinyl roof, this dry-stored example presents very well and remains highly usable.
Acquired by the vendor over 30 years ago, the Mustang was treated to a comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration soon after purchase, which included the installation of new rear and inner quarter panels, a full repaint to the underside, and a complete engine rebuild. The vendor informs us the powertrain has covered only around 5,000 miles since.
Used regularly for enthusiast shows, the Mustang has drawn consistent praise for its condition and presentation. Included in the history file are a number of historic invoices from Florida, alongside extensive documentation detailing the restoration and maintenance throughout its life.
In summary:
- Offered with the desirable early 260 V8 engine and manual gearbox
- In single ownership for 30+ years, subject to a full nut-and-bolt restoration
- Offered with a comprehensive history file comprising of invoices from Florida
