Here is a unique opportunity to acquire a 1977 Volkswagen Beetle freshly imported into the UK that has never before been registered in the UK. A Brazilian import, it arrived in the UK in June 2025, and has been delivered to the Hampson Auctions’ Gold Cup 2025 Classic, Performance & Supercar Auction straight from the port. NOVA documentation will be provided, enabling the new owner to register the vehicle with the DVLA. This is in lieu of the V5, which isn’t present… because one doesn’t yet exist for this car! Its first V5 will be provided to the winning bidder when they register it. As it’s a 1977 car, it is also exempt from tax and MOT.
Finished in red with a black interior, the car has benefitted from extensive restoration so it “looks stunning and will make a great addition to anyone’s collection”. Being kept in a warm weather climate throughout its life means it hasn’t suffered from rust over the years, which is great for originality. The vendor adds that it drives well and comes with both the spare key and manual. Overall, they rate bodywork, paintwork and interior as ‘excellent’ and engine, transmission and electrics as ‘good’. The odometer reads around 41,500 miles.
