This genuine BMW E46 B3S Alpina Cabriolet is a rare hand-built example finished in Orient Blue and complemented by Grey Alpina-embossed leather upholstery. Being the more powerful and desirable 3.3S version, it combines open-top motoring with Alpina’s trademark blend of performance and refinement. This car benefits from unique Alpina styling, including the factory 20–spoke alloy wheels, numbered dashboard plaque, and distinctive body detailing. Supplied with its factory hardtop, stand, and cover, as well as a retractable wind deflector, it presents as a very complete package.
The vendor informs us that this Alpina comes with an extensive service portfolio, including its original Alpina handbook pack, a full service history, numerous maintenance invoices, and a spare key. It has clearly been cherished as part of an Alpina enthusiast’s collection, with provenance and attention to detail in keeping with its exclusivity.
First introduced in 2002, the Alpina B3S was based on BMW’s E46 platform but significantly reworked at Alpina’s Buchloe headquarters. The 3.3-litre straight-six was tuned to 305bhp, enabling 0–60mph in under 6 seconds, while maintaining the comfort and daily usability expected of a luxury convertible. Production numbers were very limited, making the B3S one of the most collectible modern Alpina models.
