The vendor informs us this Escort Cabriolet has led a particularly sheltered life, having covered just 57,534 miles from new and spending the majority of its existence stored indoors. Purchased new in 1990, the car has since amassed a remarkably comprehensive history file, including its original purchase invoice, handbooks, brochures, receipts and numerous service stamps, all of which confirm its diligent maintenance throughout the years. Spare keys are also present.
Presented in striking metallic turquoise with grey cloth trim, the car remains highly original and unmodified, retaining its factory specification. While the condition cannot be described as immaculate, it is wholly genuine, with the lightest signs of age reflecting careful use and long-term preservation. Notably, the car has seen very few miles since 2015, further underpinning its low-mileage status and garage-stored history.
Introduced in the early 1980s and built by Karmann in Germany, the Escort Cabriolet offered open-air Ford motoring for a new generation. By the late 1980s and early 1990s, the Cabriolet had developed a cult following, combining everyday usability with an accessible convertible driving experience. Survivor examples with low mileage and complete documentation are increasingly scarce, making this an opportunity not to be missed.
