1998 Jaguar XJR Supercharged

This splendid-looking supercharged X308 Series XJR is finished in the attractive combination of Seafrost Green bodywork and Cream leather interior trim. The vendor informs us that the Jaguar has only been driven in dry conditions over the last 15 years, when it has been primarily used for such special occasions as weddings and proms. It was apparently serviced by Jaguar retailers for the first 70,000 miles and by the vendor’s local garage after that – the odometer currently registers a total of 82,000 miles. A new supercharger and belts were installed at the 55,000-mile mark, while the underside has been undersealed and waxed for optimum protection. This well-specified example includes all the expected refinements such as electrically controlled windows, mirrors and seats and is now being sold complete with: Jaguar bonnet leaper, tool kit, space-saver spare wheel and all bills for work carried out over the years – the cherished number plate is not included, however.
The X308 version of the XJR was powered by a supercharged derivative of Jaguar’s 4.0-litre AJ-V8 engine which, with an output of 370bhp, was capable of powering the luxury saloon to 60mph from a standstill in 5.6 seconds and on to an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph. It was also equipped with sports suspension, wide-section wheels and tyres, and big bore tailpipes.
