The Bolesworth Castle March 2024 Classic & Performance Car Auction

Lot 23

2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Desirable manual transmission

Registration - LK06 HKM

Chassis No. - SCFBA03B66GC02770

M.O.T. - January 2025

Odometer - 63,370

This sleek, early example of the most successful model in Aston Martin’s history has had just two previous owners, who ensured that the car was always serviced by a main dealer. Resplendent in Meteorite silver, with black leather interior beautifully offset by silver stitching, this hand-built, two-seater coupe is very stylish indeed. ‘LK06 HKM’ has the desirable six-speed manual transmission, and comes complete with owner’s manual, service book, three keys and a file documenting all work done and MOT history throughout the car’s life. It has been upgraded with an Aston Martin Sports exhaust, was serviced in December 2023 and passed its latest MOT in January of this year with no advisories. The current owner rates the 4.2-litre V8 engine, the electrics, transmission and interior as ‘excellent’ and the service history and MOT records appear to support the stated 63,370 mileage.

Originally associated with Aston Martin’s top-performing cars, when the Vantage name was given to the newcomer introduced in 2005, it related more to the leanness and agility that the company hoped would allow it to compete with the likes of Porsche’s evergreen 911, as well as the British firm’s more traditional rivals. The approach worked, with the new Vantage quickly becoming Aston Martin’s most successful model. During 13 years of development, it was offered in both coupe and roadster guises, with V8 and V12 engines, and, in total, some 24 versions. Production of the V8 Vantage ran until 2017, with V12 Vantage production ending the following year.

In summary:

  • A two-owner example of Aston Martin’s hugely successful Vantage
  • Main dealer serviced throughout its life, with comprehensive history appearing to support the 63,370 mileage
  • Featuring the desirable manual six-speed transmission and an upgraded Aston Martin Sports exhaust
