Registration - MX07 HFA
Chassis No - WP0ZZZ99Z7S724461
M.O.T. - November 2023
Odometer - 68,195
‘MX07 HFA’ is one of those cars that looks as though it’s travelling at speed even when it’s standing still. Its lustrous Basalt Black paintwork is teamed with black soft leather interior trim, all of which contrasts perfectly with the silver finish of the 19-inch OZ alloy wheels. It is a very well-equipped example, the specification of which includes: six-speed manual transmission; sports exhaust; rear window wiper; automatic speed control; top-tinted windscreen; European SAT/NAV system; phone module; park assist; and CD autochanger. Some £12,500 has been invested in the Carrera’s maintenance in the last six years alone, including £10,207.54 on the most recent service that was conducted by Dave Griffiths Racing of Shrewsbury in March last year. Every single MOT is accounted for, and they collectively warrant the current indicated total mileage of 68,209 that’s been amassed by the Porsche’s eight keepers. The vendor presently grades the flat-six engine, six-speed manual transmission and bodywork as ‘excellent’, and the metallic paintwork and hide upholstery as ‘good’, and is selling the 4S complete with a full year’s worth of MOT.
Currently celebrating its 70th birthday, the ubiquitous Porsche 911 needs little overall introduction to anybody this side of Mars. Model specific information is, however, harder for all but Porsche petrolheads grasp. The 997 generation (the car’s sixth), in which the sale car was created, ran from 2004 to 2013. Penned by Grant Larson it was an unashamed evolution of the preceding 996. Gone were that model’s ‘fried egg’ headlamps to be replaced by classic Porsche ‘bug eye’ units, 18-inch wheels became the standard fit, and engineering changes released a little more power. For those in search of even greater oomph, there was the 3.8-litre S version of 350bhp which, when coupled to the optional fourwheel drive system, could rocket the Carrera to 60mph in 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of c.180mph – figures that remain impressive almost 20 years later.
