The Triumph Legend TT was closely based on the Thunderbird 900, with affordability as the key to its success. The Legend TT benefits from all the key attributes of it's sibling whilst offering enhanced value for money. ‘W851VRE’ is a fine example of this well engineered British bike being just a two owner machine with less than 7,000 miles covered to date. The first keeper retained ‘W851VRE’ for an impressive 21 years and covering under 4,000 miles during their ownership. The current vendor acquired ‘W851VRE’ around three and a half years ago. Offered complete with an advisory free MOT until January 2026 giving the new owner scope for a full summer of enjoyment from this big triple.

‘W851VRE’ is the 'Deluxe' version of the Triumph Legend TT which was launched in 1999. This is identified by two tone paintwork and a lower saddle height lending itself to a wider range of rider builds. ‘W851VRE’ exhibits all the usual Legend TT attributes such as the cross spoked 17-inch wheels with chromed rims, reverse cone, megaphone, chromed silencers and the teardrop style fuel tank. ‘W851VRE’ is finished in Cardinal red with silver tank accents and the engine parts are powder coated in matt black. A generous pillion saddle and upright riding position with high set bars make the Legend TT a comfortable long distance steed. A tinted, Perspex vestigial fly screen is also fitted. The vendor judges the paint and bodywork as “excellent.”

The Triumph Legend TT featured the same respected “Hinckley,” 885cc triple as the Thunderbird. Although marginally detuned from other applications this approach lends the Legend TT a distinctly under stressed, over engineered durability, flexibility and rideability. A five speed gearbox transfers power to the rear wheel and originally provided a 125mph top speed and a sub-thirteen second quarter mile time. One contemporary road test was effusive about the Legend TT’s soundtrack, too, describing it as akin to a “squadron of Lancasters.” The vendor adjudges the engine and transmission as “excellent” and the electrics as “good.”

In summary:

· A two owner machine with a very sensible original mileage.

· A striking, “deluxe” specification two tone livery.

· Complete with an advisory free MOT until January 2026.

Estimated at £3,500 - £5,500
