November 2021 Classics Auction

Lot 29

1972 Kawasaki MT1
*** NO RESERVE ***

Not Registered

Chassis No. - MT031010

Very little is known about this example of Kawasaki’s rival to Honda’s ubiquitous Monkey bike, other than it is an American import. Its black frame is teamed with a Candy Lime-coloured fuel tank. It features fold-down handle bars for ease of transport and rides on mini trail tyres. The machine is unregistered, but would be ideal for off-road riding on private land or as a paddock bike for a racing team. It is being offered at ‘No Reserve’.

The Kawasaki MT1 was manufactured from 1971 to 1975. Its single-cylinder 75cc two-stroke engine produced 4.2bhp at 6,500rpm and was linked to an automatic clutch and three-speed transmission.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars, Motorcycles Watercraft and Bicycles 12.5% + VAT (minimum £145 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Sold for £870

(Inclusive of Buyer's Premium)
