‘T216OAW’ is an eye catching and pristine example of the MKIV Fiesta based 2+2 coupe built in Germany exclusively for the European market. This fully road registered example has been configured as a track car with a stripped out interior and fitted with a Motorsport UK approved roll over cage. Race seats are also fitted as are race harnesses opening ‘T216OAW’ up to a range of motorsport activities or just as a superbly handling fast road modern classic. Its more recent track focus aside, ‘T216OAW’ is a fine example of the highly respected Puma coupe. This is a four owner car with just 76,000 miles or so covered to date. In addition to this ‘T216OAW’ is offered with a full service history consisting of 16 service book stamps and a generous and instructive paperwork file. ‘T216OAW’ is complete with an advisory free MOT valid until November 2025.

‘T216OAW’ is finished in a bright red, eye-catching livery which is populated with numerous race and rally specific stickers and decals. A race focused fixed towing eye is fitted as is a set of white finished race alloy wheels. The interior of has been optimised for competition with an accredited roll cage fitted together with race seats and harnesses. Elements of the standard Puma interior fixtures and fittings have been stripped out. As far as we are aware ‘T216OAW’ maintains the standard Puma mechanical specification. This comprises the 1679cc 16-valve VCT unit originally rated at 123bhp and 116 Ib-ft of torque and co-developed with Yamaha. In original trim this was sufficient for a 125mph top speed and a 9 second 0-60mph time – surprisingly competitive for the time. As a 1.7 litre Puma, ‘T216OAW’ is fitted with low speed traction control and anti-lock brakes. The vendor considers all aspects of the Puma, both aesthetic and mechanical, as “good.”

The Puma was developed after an agreement between Ford CEO and President Jac Nasser and Ford Small and Medium Vehicle design director Claude Lobo. Their idea was to create a coupe version of the MKIV Fiesta for the enthusiastic European market. Ultimately it was a deeply developed special model considering its niche market potential with even a special collaboration with Yamaha established for engine development.

In summary:

· A track orientated Form Puma in a good overall condition

· Easily lend itself to a variety of motorsports or as a fast road specification

· Offering a sensible original mileage and a comprehensive service history

Estimated at £5,000 - £7,000
