The Bolesworth Castle September 2025 Classic, Performance & Supercar Auction

Lot 46

2001 Jaguar XJ8
***NO RESERVE*** Low-mileage example with extensive service history

Registration – BF51 WVA

Chassis No. – SAJAC13M51LF41050

M.O.T. – May 2026

Odometer – 57,500

Presented in gleaming black with Oatmeal leather trim, ‘BF51 WVA’ is a smartly presented example of Jaguar’s X308-series XJ8 saloon. The vendor informs us that the car has benefitted from a replacement differential and carrier, plus a full service within the last 20 miles, including transmission attention. The underside has been rust-sealed and the car recently inspected, with the vendor advising it is to a good standard, reflecting the car’s modest mileage.

A four-owner example, ‘BF51 WVA’ was retained by its first and second keepers for almost 22 years. MOT records confirm that its mileage has accrued in a steady, linear fashion, with today’s odometer showing only around 57,500 miles. Its last MOT expired in August 2024 and it will therefore need re-testing prior to road use. The Jaguar is accompanied by its service history and paperwork and carries a Category D insurance marker dating from 2014.

Power is supplied by the marque’s refined AJ-V8 engine in its 4.0-litre form, producing around 290bhp and 290 lb-ft of torque, mated to a smooth ZF five-speed automatic gearbox. Bodywork, paintwork and interior are all rated as “good”, with the electrics noted as “excellent”. Inside, Oatmeal leather is complemented by walnut veneer and Antelope carpets, edge-bound in leather for added luxury. Externally, the car wears 17-inch Celtic alloys and retains the handsome quad-headlamp, wide-chrome grille look that harks back to Jaguars of the 1960s.

  • Low-mileage, four-owner example with extensive service history

  • Recent differential replacement, full service, and underside rust-proofing

  • Black coachwork over Oatmeal leather; offered without reserve
