The Bolesworth Castle May 2025 Classic, Performance & Supercar Auction

Lot 55

2016 Nissan R35 GT-R Recaro
Offered with Delivery Mileage.

Registration – LT16 HTN

Chassis No. – JN1GANR35U0170612

M.O.T. – March 2026

Odometer – 155 (DELIVERY MILEAGE)

From its humble beginings with the 158bhp 'Hakosuka' Nissan Skyline GT-R of 1969, today’s R35 version has come a very long way. Today, the R35 is a true JDM halo car offering a true adrenaline inducing alternative to Italian supercars at less than half the price. ‘LT16 HTN’ is a remarkable example of the DBA–R35 offered with just one former keeper to date and an incredible 160 miles, making this a true “delivery miles” example of an iconic Japanese performance institution. With the R35 retired from European markets in 2022 and worldwide production now ceasing in 2025, ‘LT16 HTN’ is sure to offer an incredible investment opportunity for the future. Offered here in the desirable Recaro Edition, ‘LT16 HTN’ is complete with a current MOT (advisory free, of course!) until November 2025 and even plenty of its factory protective film to interior surfaces. ‘LT16 HTN’ is a UK supplied and specified model and has been recently serviced, despite its delivery mileage, by a Nissan GT-R accredited dealer.

Just four highly trained craftsmen were accredited to work on the R35’s 3,799cc, twin turbocharged V6 powerhouse of an engine. This elite group are referred to as “Takumi” – a Japanese term used to describe a master craftsman who has perfected his skills over years of painstaking work and dedication. Each Takumi is responsible for building an engine from start to finish with them applying a named plaque upon completion. ‘LT16 HTN’s’ Takumi was Tsunemi Oayama. This remarkable, hand built unit is rated at 562bhp at 6,800rpm and 476 Ib-ft of torque available from 3,300rpm. The GT-R features the first ever rear mounted independent transaxle on an all-wheel-drive vehicle. The transaxle consists of the transmission, clutches, centre and rear differential. The rear biased all-wheel drive system ensures physics defying grip and traction whilst still allowing for some rear-out action should the driver wish. Bilstein electronically adjustable dampers and an advanced Brembo brake system with fully floating callipers (six piston at the front and four piston for the rears) helps make this a world beating performance hero car. Despite being some 300kgs heavier the Ferrari 458, the GT-R was able to beat the Italian car’s best Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time by a full five seconds.

‘LT16 HTN’ presents in gleaming Pearl White livery and exhibits all the GT-R signatures including the quad, round rear lamps, the four oversized tailpipes and prominent boot lid spoiler. Twenty-inch, ten spoke Nissan alloy wheels are fitted and finished in an anthracite shade. The technology laden cabin is finished predominantly in black with accents of red and carbon fibre in evidence. The high backed Recaro seats are finished in perforated black leather with red highlights. The R35 is noted for its high-tech cabin equipment with highlights including Bose audio system with Active Noise Cancellation,11 speakers and dual subwoofers and driver-configurable Multi-Function Display system. The latter features a raft of graphical readouts of vehicle and driving data displayed on a total of six screens. Given ‘LT16 HTN’s’ miniscule, delivery mileage it will come as no surprise that all facets of this remarkable car are rates as “excellent.”

Summary:

  • An investment grade GT-R with just one previous owner and 160 miles covered to date
  • Offered with an advisory free MOT until November 2025
