The Bolesworth Castle May 2025 Classic, Performance & Supercar Auction

Lot 6

2000 Maserati 3200 GT
***NO RESERVE*** A rewarding project opportunity

Registration – X661 EGP

Chassis No. – ZAMAA38D000002655

M.O.T. – Expired

Odometer – 77,000

Tantalisingly offered at No Reserve, this 2000 Maserati 3200 GT is an original example that features the iconic ‘boomerang’ LED rear lights. The desirable 3.2-litre V8 produces 363bhp and is paired here with a four-speed automatic gearbox. The vendor says the car was running perfectly until three years ago when the head gasket failed. “Since then, it has been parked up. The car is currently a non-runner, but has all the parts needed for it to run again.”

‘X661 EGP’ is finished in a desirable combination of blue metallic with tan leather interior. The odometer reads 87,000 miles, backed up by an HPI report, and this Maserati comes with all its owner’s manuals, three keys, and an array of invoices and receipts as part of its history file. Registered in July 2000, this Maserati 3200 GT has had just five owners, half the number that’s usual for a car of this age.

The Maserati 3200 GT was launched to great acclaim in 1998 to replace the ageing Shamal. Penned by Italdesign, company founder Giorgetto Giugiaro presented it to the world with former Maserati racer Sir Stirling Moss in September 1998. It used the Maserati Quattroporte’s 3.2-litre 32-valve V8 and offered either manual or automatic transmissions. It was replaced in 2002 by the Maserati Coupe, which was an evolution powered by a Ferrari-derived 4.2-litre V8 – and which sadly lost those iconic rear lights.

In summary:

  • 2000 Maserati 3200 GT offered at No Reserve
  • Just five owners in 25 years
  • Non-runner but comes with all parts needed for it to run again
