The vendor informs us this Lexus presents in superb overall condition, showing only minor stone chips and having clearly been cherished from new. Garaged for some five years, it has recently been re-commissioned with the necessary maintenance and a full detail, and is said to drive with the smoothness and refinement expected of the marque.
Inside, the cabin remains remarkably fresh, with the light grey leather trim and dashboard in very good order. Under the bonnet sits the 4.3-litre V8, renowned for its silky delivery and long-lasting reliability, and this example does not disappoint, pulling strongly and operating with near-new refinement.
Introduced in 1997, the second-generation GS brought Japanese precision engineering to the executive saloon market, offering understated styling, lavish equipment levels, and engines designed to run almost indefinitely. The GS 430 in particular combined performance and luxury in a way that won it a loyal following worldwide.
