Finished in white and presenting in exceptional preserved order, this MG Metro is a remarkable time warp example showing just 15,781 miles at the time of consignment. The vendor informs us that the car has covered minimal mileage from new and has been carefully maintained throughout its life. Bodywork, decals and correct period wheels all appear highly original, reflecting the car’s sheltered existence.
The interior is particularly impressive, retaining its factory trim, MG steering wheel and original Philips stereo cassette unit. Switchgear, dashboard and instrumentation present with minimal wear, entirely commensurate with the recorded mileage. The 1275cc A Series engine bay is clean and well detailed, further supporting the car’s low mileage credentials. Accompanying the vehicle is its original book pack and period dealer wallet.
Introduced during the 1980s revival of the MG marque, the Metro offered accessible sporting character in a compact and usable package. Increasingly scarce in unmodified and low mileage condition, examples of this quality are becoming difficult to source.
