A firm favourite among enthusiasts and track-day drivers, the Clio 172 Cup is celebrated for its raw, analogue driving experience. From the iconically French cocked-rear-wheel cornering to the rorty, naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine and lightweight construction, the 172 Cup offers one of the most rewarding and best-value hot hatch experiences on the road today.
This particular example has covered 102,000 miles and has had only three registered keepers from new, with the last owner in possession since 2005. It was professionally recommissioned in 2021 after being off the road and stored since 2013. Since then, an extensive amount of money has been spent, including all-new brakes, steering and suspension components, engine mounts, and a full service using genuine Renault parts.
In 2025, the car received a fresh cambelt, dephaser pulley, and water pump — an essential maintenance point for these cars. It comes with a documented service history, recent invoices for completed works, its V5C, and one key. Please note that the early history and spare key were unfortunately lost while in storage.
