2000 Mitsubishi Evo Tommi Makinen
Legendary homologation icon celebrating Tommi Makinen’s rallying triumphs – One UK keeper

Registration – V562 MDL

Chassis No. – CP9A-0201876

M.O.T. – February 2026

Odometer – 111,000 km (M 68,954)

For performance car enthusiasts who remember the turn of the millennium, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6 Tommi Makinen Edition needs no introduction. This example is particularly striking, thanks to condition that is described as being ‘excellent’ throughout – it presents virtually as new. It has only had one keeper since being imported into the UK in September 2019. The vendor says it comes with a Japanese folder full of paperwork, brochures and provenance from its home country.

‘V562MDL’ has an odometer reading 111,000km, which is around 69,000 miles. Alluringly, this performance icon is fitted with an upgraded titanium exhaust. The Tommi Makinen and Ralliart decals are present and correct, as are the Tommi Makinen Edition branded Recaro seats. There’s a Blitz turbo timer and sequential boost controller, plus luxuries such as climate control and a JVC sound system. The Mitsubishi-branded Momo steering wheel is another desirable feature.

An icon of the four-door, four-wheel drive performance icon of the 1990s and 2000s, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo reached a high point with the Evo 6 Tommi Makinen Edition. Around 2,500 were built, all featuring the same brilliant suspension setup with ingenious Active Yaw Control rear differential. Many enthusiasts say that, of all the various Evo editions, the Tommi Makinen Edition is The One, which means this car presents a tantalising opportunity to acquire a sure-fire future classic.

In summary:

· 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6 Tommi Makinen.

· Only one keeper since arriving in the UK in 2019.

· Described as being in ‘excellent’ condition throughout.
