A superb example of BMW’s flagship saloon from the time, this E32-era BMW 7 Series is offered at now reserve. Presented in Alpinweiss white, ‘F100 EUJ’ uses BMW’s long-serving 3.5-litre straight six, hooked up to a four-speed automatic transmission. Originally ordered in SE specification, this 735i features factory-fitted equipment such as 10-spoke alloy wheels, electric windows all-round, cruise control, dark blue leather upholstery, wood veneer front arm-rests, three gearbox modes, and rear window blind – as befitting the luxury express the 7 Series undoubtedly is.
With just four owners in ‘F100 EUJ’s more than 36 years on the road, the current keeper has had the BMW in their care for 25 years. Displaying an indicated 199,568 miles on the clock, fewer than a thousand of those have been added in the past 14 years according to MOT records. With an MOT until September 2025, this example of BMW’s 735i has had all six fuel injectors refurbished recently, as well as new rear brake lines fitted. Described by the vendor as driving ‘beautifully’ and ‘turning heads’ wherever it goes, they rate the bodywork, paintwork, and interior as ‘average’, and the engine, transmission, and electrics as ‘good’.
The second-generation of BMW’s 7 Series saloon, the E32 model was launched in 1986, replacing the E23. Initially offered with straight-six or V12 engines, a V8 was made available in 1992 – the latter was the first V8 to be produced by BMW since the early 1960s, and the V12 was the first to be put in a passenger car since the war. Pitched as a technological tour de force, the 7 Series was the first BMW to be fitted with traction control, and the first production model to feature Xenon headlights. Other features available on the option list included an integrated telephone, electric front seat adjustment, and even a wine cooler. Also available in long-wheelbase form, the E32 7 Series was produced until 1994, before being replaced with the E38 model.
