‘HVK 434C’ is a head turning example of the Ford Mustang GT350 from its first year of production in 1965. The 1965 Mustang GT350 was built specifically for the track and this example has clearly enjoyed a long and distinguished racing career. ‘HVK 434C’ spent the bulk of its life in the USA before being imported to the UK in 2016. Since then, it has had just two UK keepers with the current owner having had the Mustang for around six and a half years. ‘HVK 434C’ is road registered in the UK but is currently on SORN. It also holds FIA registration for the GTS class and has raced since its arrival in the UK. ‘HVK 434C’ was known to have competed in the CSCC, Silverstone Spectacular in October 2022. The car completed 29 laps at an average speed of nearly 73 mph. ‘HVK 434C’ is being offered with plenty of supporting paperwork and is now ready for its next exciting chapter.

In faithful Mustang GT350 style ‘HVK 434C’ presents in Wimbledon White with Le Mans Blue stripes running down its middle. This car’s sporting heritage is obvious with front and rear tow eyes, added air vents, external kill switches and faired in rear windows. This traditional look is complemented by the gold finished, alloy race wheels and accompanying Toyo race tyres. The cabin is purely focussed on one thing – going fast. As such any concessions to comfort or luxury have been deleted. A full tubular roll cage is fitted as is a Cobra race seat complete with TRS full race harnesses. A hard plumbed fire extinguisher system is present together with the obligatory kill switches are fitted. A modern set of Smiths race gauges are present as is a manual brake bias control knob.

In 2019 specialists David Whitehurst Racing were commissioned to convert the original 289 cu in engine to a 347 cu in race ready engine. Work included a new crank, new forged pistons, single piece stainless steel valves, high rise intake manifold and significant other enhancements and upgrades. This work amounted to a shade under £20,000 worth of specialist attention making this a very well specified classic race car with few equals.

In summary:

· A striking looking Ford Mustang GT350 race car in a fine overall condition

· Fully configured for GTS class racing and complete with FIA registration

· Benefiting from nearly £20,000 spent on an extensive engine rebuild in 2019
