This splendid-looking Suzuki is a genuine one-owner motorcycle that’s covered 29,804 kilometres (18,519 miles) from new. The vendor informs us that the panels are all original and that the engine was treated to a top end overhaul only 1,300 miles ago. He considers ‘C587 XRT’ to be in ‘very good condition’ and is offering it complete with owner’s manual, pair of original keys and a current MOT valid into October next year. A rare opportunity.
The Gamma was Suzuki’s road version of the phenomenal machines that swept the incomparable Barry Sheene to back to back World titles in 1976 and 1977, and was judged to be closer to the racers in terms of handling and performance than all rival replicas of the time. Its square-four
liquid–cooled two-stroke engine pumped out 95bhp, which resulted in a top speed north of 133mph. Only offered for a couple of years, Gammas are few and far between, so this one should have little trouble finding a suitable new home.
