The Honda Civic Jordan is a distinctive and prized special edition that celebrated the collaboration between Honda and the Jordan F1 team. The Japanese giant supplied the Silverstone-based racing team with engines from 1998 to 2001, with several famous victories by Damon Hill and Heinz-Harald Frentzen. Based on the EK4 Honda Civic VTi, 500 cars were produced, all in vivid Sunlight Yellow with green Jordan graphics and the team’s ‘Buzzin’ Hornets’ logo on the tailgate. Inside, the logo features again on the bespoke black and leather seats, and on the tailored floor mats. All cars have an individually numbered plaque with Eddie Jordan signature; this car is number 272 out of 500.
‘V146ERD’ has been owned by the vendor for 10 years, in which time it’s always been kept in dry storage. They say it has been religiously serviced each year regardless of mileage, and meticulously maintained throughout the years of ownership with no expense spared. The renowned B16A2 engine, which produces 160hp at a thrilling 7,600rpm, has always been run on premium fuel and warmed up before being driven; the vendor says both it and the transmission are in ‘excellent’ condition. Recent work includes a cambelt, water pump and coolant flush around 500 miles ago, and a genuine Honda rocker gasket kit service replacement in 2023. There’s an uprated Toyo radiator, while the original catalytic converter is present in combination with a Longlife stainless steel cat-back exhaust. The underbody has also been prepped and sealed in colour-coded Raptor protection.
This car’s unique stance is achieved by fully adjustable Tein Mono Pro coilover suspension, with Skunk2 Racing rear lower control arm and Beaks tie bar. Special alloy wheels set off the stance perfectly. There are also drilled and grooved brake discs with Brembo pads. The vendor has fitted a Nardi Personal steering wheel, reports the tilting sunroof and all electrics are in working order, while the air con is still fitted but the pump needs attention. They add that it has an insurance-approved Sigma alarm system, complete with certified lifetime guarantee.
