The Bolesworth Castle March 2024 Classic & Performance Car Auction

Lot 91

2022 Tiger R10
As new vehicle with only 70 miles from new

Registration - SV22 BXP

Chassis No. - SA99UUMV190612128

M.O.T. - Not applicable until third anniversary of its registration

Odometer - 70

This is a rare opportunity to acquire an as-new Tiger R10 sportscar with just 70 miles on the clock at a significant saving over a factory-built option – and without having to build it yourself or hire someone to do so. ‘SV22 BXP’ was built in 2022 by a retired engineer and features all the elements one would expect from one of Tiger Racing’s finest. Smartly finished in red over black, with black Fox 15”alloy wheels shod in Toyo Proxes performance tyres, this open-topped sporting machine has a 16V 2-litre Ford Zetec engine, which develops 170bhp, a five-speed Ford Type 9 manual gearbox, stainless steel exhaust system and a full hoop roll bar. The Tiger quilted sports seats are upholstered in black with red piping, and the Mountney steering wheel continues the sporting theme. Four-point Tiger seatbelts are fitted, and the car comes complete with a tonneau cover. The vendor describes the engine, transmission, electrics, paintwork, bodywork and interior as ‘excellent’.

Established in 1989, and still owned and operated by the founding family, Tiger Racing produces a range of road and race cars which are available either as ready-built vehicles or as complete kit for the customer to assemble. Tiger cars are clearly inspired by the Lotus 7, and have a strong enthusiast following, who appreciate the quality of the Wisbech-produced vehicles or kits, with their carbon fibre rear wheel arches and distinctive bonnet with its power bulge. Many are bought as track or race cars, though they are also highly entertaining road cars. The R6/R10 model features a powder coated, 90% round tube space frame chassis, double wishbone front suspension, disc brakes front and rear, quick turn steering rack, alloy radiator and alloy fuel tank and analogue gauges.

In summary:

  • An engineer-built machine, which has apparently covered just 70 miles
  • An opportunity to acquire an ‘as new’ R10 Tiger without the factory wait time or factory prices
  • Tremendous fun as a road, track or race car – or all three!
