‘B19 SAV’ is a 1989 Land Rover Defender 90 but you may be forgiven for mistaking it for a much later iteration. With the current keeper owning ‘B19 SAV’ for a shade under four years they have lavished around £17,000 on it in that period. Within the last 500 miles the engine has been completely recommissioned with the accompanying bills provided. Prior to that ‘B19 SAV’s’ paintwork and bodywork were attended to at a cost of around £5,000. The result is an extremely contemporary looking Defender in a fine overall condition. This highly specified Defender comes with a current MOT valid until October 2025, ample bills and paperwork and two keys.

Following its major glow up, ‘B19 SAV’ now looks impressive in its Heritage Grey style livery with numerous black finished accents. The latter include the later style, gloss finished grill and headlamp surrounds, front bumper and rear crossmember, tubular side steps, roof panel and Patriot cargo rack. Other suitably rugged accessories include the bumper mounted, Britpart winch, the wading snorkel, roof top light bar and bonnet and wing top chequer plate protective panels. The vendor also notes that galvanised doors are fitted together with military style sliding widows. The 16-inch steel wheels are also finished in black and carry a set of BF Goodrich A/T tyres in a 285/75 configuration. The interior has been graced with numerous upgrades too. A pair of high backed, black leather seats with re stitching are fitted together with a chunky three spoke sports steering wheel. In the back a pair of diamond stitched bench cushions are fitted, and the sides and roof have been finished in an Alcantara style fabric. A pair of forward facing box speakers are fitted as well as a rear facing Edge sub-woofer. The vendor rates the paintwork, bodywork and interior as “good.”

‘B19 SAV’ is fitted with the 2.5-litre 300TDi turbo-diesel engine which has been freshly recommissioned. This is mated to the five speed manual transmission transferring power to the permanent four wheel drive system. In addition, ‘B19 SAV’ features uprated prop shafts, steering rods and disc brakes. The engine, transmission and electrics are also rated as “good.”
