Originally featured on the popular Top Dead Centre YouTube channel for 5 video long series that had a total of 2.2milion views across the series, ‘W468 JCB’ is a heavily modified pocket-rocket originally based on a Corsa 1.0L Club from 2000. The list of modifications made is lengthy, more of which shortly, with the fitment of a 2-litre, turbocharged Saab engine producing 280bhp representing the eye-catching headline. That aside this is a six previous owner car with a current, advisory free MOT valid until December 2025. A sensible 77,000 miles are recorded, and the MOT history suggests this to be accurate. A significant stack of paperwork is included documenting all the modifications and ‘W468 JCB’ is offered here with no reserve. Who wouldn’t want a 280bhp 2000 Corsa, after all?
‘W468 JCB’ has been professionally fitted with a Saab B204 2-litre engine fitted with a Saab TD04 turbo and 2.5” front mounted intercooler. A balance shaft delete has been performed and a tubular exhaust manifold feeds a 3” tubular exhaust system. A Mocal oil cooler with switchable fan is present and a stage 2 map has been undertaken by the Saab Clinic. This setup is thought to deliver around 280bhp, and the power is fed through an F18 long ratio gearbox with big block shafts and hubs. In order to keep everything a little bit more manageable uprated brakes and adjustable JOM coilovers are fitted. Engine, transmission and electrics are rated as “good.”
The exterior of ‘W468 JCB’ is finished in silver and complete with a chunky GSi body kit. Speedline Alessio alloy wheels are fitted and shod with a set of Accelera 651semi-slick tyres. There’s plenty of carbon fibre on display, too. This includes Morette headlights with integrated intake, carbon fibre mirror caps and front splitter. In the cabin Corsa GSi upholstery and trim are fitted. Custom Lockwood white dials are present together with a trio of auxiliary gauges measuring boost, water temperature and oil pressure. The bodywork is rated as “below average,” with paintwork as “average.” The interior is rated as “below average.”
In summary:
· A highly modified Corsa with a “no expense spared” specification
· Reported to be producing around 280bhp from a turbocharged Saab engine
· Offered with a current MOT and stacks of accompanying paperwork
