The Volvo 940 Celebration was Volvo’s special-end trim, launched in 1998 to commemorate the final rear-wheel-drive 940 models. It’s powered by a 2.3 L low‑pressure turbo engine, paired with a Aisin-Warner 4-speed automatic with overdrive
As an estate-only model, it came generously outfitted with metallic paint, colour-matched bumpers, a black sports grille, roof rails, and unique 15″ alloy wheels. Inside, you get leather upholstery, heated and electric front seats, electric windows (front & rear), air conditioning, a leather steering wheel, RDS cassette radio, headlamp washers, and ABS
This 940 Celebration has had only 2 owners and is coming out 25 years of ownership. It was cherished by the previous owners as they spared no expense throughout their ownership giving the car a full service history and treating it to any new parts that it needed which includes a recent full exhaust system and ignition system. A large file including invoices, receipts of work and everything in between has been kept.
It is currently suffering from a power issue when the engine is underload under 2000rpm, once past this point it is said to drive fine.
