The Gold Cup Classic & Performance Car & Motorcycle Auction

  Lot 12

1936 OK-Supreme Flying Cloud

Registration - KXS726

Chassis No. - 21427

M.O.T. - Exempt

Odometer - TBC

This fine specimen was registered new in September 1936 and is powered by a 249cc four-stroke JAP engine. It has only been in the vendor’s care since August of last year, but that has apparently been sufficient time for him to treat the machine to a top-to-bottom refurbishment. Items that have been replaced include the wiring, tyres and battery. He now classes the frame, paintwork and brightwork as ‘excellent’, and the engine, four-speed gearbox, suspension and cycle parts as ‘good’. The OK is being offered for sale complete with a sizeable history file that contains handbooks, receipts and various items of correspondence, and is now fully ready for a new owner to enjoy. The OK marque was established by bicycle manufacturer Humphries & Dawes. When the pair parted company Ernie Humphries continued with the production of motorcycles in the name of OK-Supreme. It was in 1928 that the manufacturer achieved its sole TT victory, when OK-Supremes filled no less than four of the top six positions.
