This most eye-catching of STs has clearly been modified from stem to stern. Its hugs the ground, sits on colour-keyed alloys and features a modified rear spoiler, big bore tailpipes, bonnet grilles and decals galore. It is clearly quite a weapon on which a lot of money was invested by the previous keeper. Finished in blue and trimmed in black leather it comes complete with a history file containing a large selection of invoices, the V5C and a current MOT that’s valid to November 14 next year. There has been an ST version of the Focus since pretty much the launch of the range in 1998 – ST stands for Sports Technology. The 2006 model was powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering a healthy 221bhp, which in true Ford style was matched by exhilarating levels of handling and roadholding. In ultimate ST-3 guise the model was extremely well equipped in every department and wanted for very little. A true driver’s car by any standards.
