We understand from the vendor that this well-presented machine was campaigned in the Northwest Lancashire Championship from 1989 to 1992, since when it has appeared in a handful of hillclimbs. The belt drive and clutch have recently been replaced, along with both tyres. The vendor now considers the 500c engine, four-speed gearbox, frame, suspension, paintwork and brightwork to all be in ‘excellent’ condition, and classes the cycle parts as ‘good to excellent’. He is now selling the bike complete with a booklet detailing a road race championship victory from its past.

Our May auction of classic, modern classic and prestige cars and motorbikes will take place at Mavericks in Holywell, North Wales (half an hour’s drive from Chester).
There will be free parking for auction attendees.
