November 2021 Classics Auction

Lot 135

2005 JAGUAR XK8

Registration - DN05 MDO

Chassis No. - SAJAC41P162A46212

M.O.T. - No M.O.T.

Odometer - 86,751

XK8s offer extraordinary value for money at present and this smart 2005 example would surely put a smile on the face of any Jaguar enthusiast. Finished in silver with a dark grey full leather interior, it has only two previous owners and a full service history, with just 86,751 miles on the clock. The car boasts a 4.2L V8 engine and upgraded XKR brake option, and has had a recent body restoration, including new rear arches and rear sills. The split rim BBS alloys have also been refurbished. The vendor assures us that this elegant machine starts, runs and drives well.

Like the E-Type before it, the XK8 made its debut at the 1996 Geneva Salon, and from launch was available in either coupe or convertible guise. Like its immediate predecessor, the XJS, the original XK8 was more of a grand tourer than an outright sports car. It also had the distinction of being the first Jaguar to be powered by an eight-cylinder engine. This then, was a cat with strong DNA but also its own distinctive endearing personality.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars, Motorcycles Watercraft and Bicycles 12.5% + VAT (minimum £145 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Sold for £6,400

(Inclusive of Buyer's Premium)
