The Bolesworth Castle November 2023 Classic & Performance Car Auction

  Lot 15

2011 Jaguar XFR Saloon
500 horsepower four-door super saloon, with an enviable factory specification

Registration - OV61 ZHU

Chassis No. - SAJAC08R4CM538320

M.O.T. - May 2024

Odometer - 82,300

The XFR on offer hails from 2011. Its all-white bodywork is complemented by a luxurious black leather interior complete with R monogrammed sports seats and leather-covered sports steering wheel. ‘OV61 ZHU’ has had a total of five keepers to date, the most recent of whom has retained the Jaguar for the last four years, during which time he has only added 6,000 miles to the total mileage, which currently stand as at 82,311. He informs us that a remote valve has been fitted by which the exhaust note can be altered, and that the most recent service was carried out by a marque specialist as recently as September 22 this year. The vendor currently considers the Jaguar’s supercharged V8 engine, six-speed automatic gearbox, four-door bodywork, paintwork and upholstery to all be in ‘excellent’ order and is selling the Jaguar complete with part service history and a selection of old MOTs, plus a current certificate valid to May 17 next year.

Jaguar’s XF luxury saloon was introduced in the autumn of 2007 as a replacement for the more classically styled S Type. Developed at the company’s Whitley design centre in Coventry and manufactured at the historic Castle Bromwich facility near Birmingham, the newcomer was largely based on a much-modified version of Ford’s DEW98 platform. The body was penned by Ian Callum and the model ultimately offered in saloon and estate car guise, and with a range of engines from 2.0-litre turbocharged to 5.0-litre supercharged – the unit that powered the XFR derivative. Launched at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show and in production until 2015, the XFR executive express had a healthy output of 503bhp, but featured few outward clues to its performance potential – the salient revisions being little more than a revised front bumper and spoiler, 20 inch alloy wheels and discreet R badges front and rear. But perform it most certainly could, with the sprint to 60mph taking just 4.7 seconds and the terminal speed being electronically limited to 155mph. All but the last of the XFR line drive through either a six or eight-speed automatic gearbox.

In summary:

  • A smart-looking five-keeper example displaying 82,311 miles
  • Just 6,000 miles covered in the last four years
  • Comes complete with service history and a current MOT
