Originally supplied by Royles of Congleton, the car was first registered to D.E.B. Fast Freight Ltd of Dukinfield, Cheshire, and retains a superb accompanying history file documenting its life from new. Included within the file are the original service booklet, owner's handbook, continuation log book, a substantial collection of invoices and MOT certificates, together with evidence confirming the car was Ziebart rustproofed from new, an important period option that has undoubtedly contributed to its excellent preservation.
Mechanically, the car is fitted with the desirable factory overdrive, significantly enhancing relaxed motorway cruising while retaining the enjoyable character for which the MG B is renowned. The engine bay presents in honest, original condition, reflecting the careful ownership this car has clearly enjoyed throughout its life.
The interior remains exceptionally well preserved, retaining its original appearance and period charm, while the hood and tonneau cover are supplied with the vehicle, allowing the next custodian to enjoy open-top motoring immediately.
With its remarkably low recorded mileage, extensive provenance, factory overdrive and outstanding originality, this MG B represents an increasingly rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest examples currently available.
