Launched to bring turbocharged performance to Porsche’s entry-level coupe, the 924 Turbo (internal code 931) elevated the model’s reputation with genuine pace and improved dynamics. By 1981, the 924 Turbo had matured into a refined and well-balanced sports car, featuring a revised cylinder head and increased boost from its KKK K-26 turbocharger. Power was rated at 177bhp, delivered to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted 5-speed transaxle — a layout that contributed to the car’s near-perfect weight distribution and precise handling. Today, the 924 Turbo is increasingly recognised as a collectible and rewarding classic within the Porsche community.

This 1981 example is finished in Platinum Metallic with a contrasting tan and brown interior. The vendor informs us that original decals and factory-correct stickers remain in place under the bonnet. The car has been professionally maintained throughout its life and has recently been professionally recommissioned, including the fitment of a new clutch master cylinder and slave cyclinder, new sunroof seals, and a replacement cambelt carried out approximately 500 miles ago. We are also advised that the car holds strong oil pressure.

Offered at no reserve, this presents a fantastic opportunity for the enthusiast, collector, or someone seeking an affordable and usable entry point into classic Porsche ownership. The car sits on its correct ATS wheels, features a removable sunroof, and is accompanied by its driver’s maintenance record, history file, and original manufacturer’s literature.

In summary:

• Turbocharged 2.0L Porsche coupe with 5-speed rear-mounted transaxle

• Professionally recommissioned and maintained, cambelt covered less than 500 miles and master cylinder

• Offered at no reserve – an ideal opportunity for the Porsche enthusiast or collector
