Lot 20

1937 BSA G14

Registration - XBV 874

Chassis No. - 1937

M.O.T. - Exempt

Odometer - TBC

‘XBV 874’ was first UK registered in April 2016. The BSA then became the subject of comprehensive restoration that was completed during the following year. The mighty V-twin engine was fully rebuilt, the frame stripped and resprayed, the tank repainted and rechromed, the lights restored, much of the brightwork refurbished, the handlebars and its controls overhauled, the seat recovered, new tyres fitted, and a full lubrication service carried out. The vendor now has no hesitation in declaring the engine, four-speed gearbox, frame, suspension, paintwork, brightwork and cycle parts to all be in ‘excellent’ condition. Since the completion of the work the G14 has been garaged, well maintained and generally pampered, with its engine turned over on a regular basis. The vendor is now offering this splendid period motorcycle complete with a history file containing a large selection of invoices relating to the restoration. BSA’s G14 remained in production from 1927 to 1940. Though sold for solo use, its forte was powering heavily-laden sidecars, courtesy of that potent V-twin engine.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Potential buyers should satisfy themselves with the description and condition of each lot prior to sale. Each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ as per the terms and conditions for the auction, buyers are asked to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out the service. Any disputes over descriptions will not be entertained.

Estimated at £16,000 - £18,000
