This handsome 2004 Bentley Continental GT is finished in classic, contemporary silver metallic with a black interior set off by a walnut dashboard. As in all Bentleys, the wood veneer is real, hand-made by craftsmen in Crewe. The vendor says it is a very well maintained and looked after example, that has “never wanted for anything”. At its most recent service, £3,500 was spent on it, while the brake master cylinder, discs and pads were all changed in 2019. It had a new radiator and coolant in 2018, at a cost of £2,000, while the vendor has fitted new airbags in the front ride height sensors, along with the suspension air compressor. Between 2016 and 2017, they say it had around £6,000 spend on it. The part service history includes work by Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists Fearons.
‘VX04WKS has a 6.0-litre W12 engine and six-speed automatic gearbox described as being in ‘good’ condition, and the odometer reads 139,000 miles. This 198mph Bentley is MOT’d until December 2025 and the vendor confirms it is UK registered.
The Bentley Continental GT was a turnaround car for the firm that was introduced in 2003. Offered both as a GT coupe and GTC convertible, it was the first car developed fully under Volkswagen Group ownership, and transformed the Crewe brand’s fortunes by becoming a great sales success. Key features included striking two-door GT styling, a lavish four-seat interior and effortless performance backed up with the security of grippy all-wheel drive. The first generation was sold between 2003 and 2011, and powered by the famous 6.0-litre W12 engine, with a V8 alternative following later. A second generation followed in 2011, with a high-tech third generation Bentley Continental GT range launched in 2018. Bentley has recently announced a fourth generation model, for the 2025 model year, showing that the Continental GT concept is alive and thriving.
