‘E6TKS’ is a fine first generation Bentley Continental GTC from the second year of convertible production. ‘E6TKS’ has been in its current ownership for four years and has been enjoyed by just three previous keepers. With just 61,000 recorded to date ‘E6TKS’ is a well-cared for example of this stunning 190mph, 6-litre W12 convertible GT car. ‘E6TKS’ is offered with a long, advisory free MOT until April 2026 and a full Bentley service history up until 2021. In current ownership ‘E6TKS’ has been serviced at independent specialists and accompanying invoices document the work undertaken. ‘E6TKS’ also comes complete with its appealing private registration number. With just 800 miles covered in the last year, ‘E6TKS’ is being sold solely due to a lack of use.
The Bentley Continental GT debuted in 2002 to become the first model launched under Volkswagen’s stewardship. As such the Continental GT was a statement of intent and a dramatic watershed for the marque. The range was further enhanced in 2006 with the arrival of the convertible GTC with its Karmann designed and built soft top. ‘E6TKS’ presents in standard, first generation factory trim and in the popular black colourway. The Dirk Van Braeckel design manages to blend traditional Bentley DNA with something very dramatic and contemporary. The big, muscular haunches, oversized quad headlamps and matrix grill combine to deliver one of the most recognisable and appealing uber-luxury GT cars available. With an original retail price of over £100,000 the Continental GTC is an exquisitely appointed and equipped car. ‘E6TKS’ sumptuous cabin is finely crafted in black leather. The bodywork, paintwork and interior are all rated as “good.”
Bentley certainly went to town on the GTC’s mechanical specification, too. Fitted with Volkswagen’s innovative six-litre, twin-turbocharged, W12 engine the original statistics were eye watering. A full 550bhp and 479 lb-ft of torque, seven speed automatic transmission, permanent four wheel drive, a sub five-second 0-60mph time and a top speed of around 190mph. All with the roof down should you desire. ‘E6TKS’ has benefitted from a recent overhaul to include a new radiator and all 12 spark plugs. The current keeper confirms that ‘E6TKS’ “runs and drives beautifully” and rates all mechanical systems as “excellent.”
