An Auction of Classic and Performance Cars and Motorcycles

  Lot 21

1969 BSA Rocket 3

Registration - POH 3G

Chassis No. - PC00670A75R

M.O.T. - PC00670A75R

Odometer - 8,035

This attractive red Rocket 3 is a 1969 model that appears to have been exported from new and then repatriated in 1976, which is when it was first UK registered. It has had six UK keepers since returning to these shores, the most recent of whom has retained the BSA for the last 14 years. It features an electric start and the gearbox has been uprated from a four to five-speed example. The vendor currently regards the 750cc engine, transmission, paintwork, brightwork and cycle parts as all being in ‘good’ condition, and the frame and suspension as ‘average’. He informs us that the bike will be checked over by a mechanic before the sale, and is offering it complete with a copy of the January 2010 edition of The Classic Motorcycle Magazine, in which the machine was extensively featured. The odometer currently registers 8,035 miles.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Potential buyers should satisfy themselves with the description and condition of each lot prior to sale. Each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ as per the terms and conditions for the auction, buyers are asked to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out the service. Any disputes over descriptions will not be entertained.
