The Gold Cup 2025 Classic, Performance & Supercar Auction

Lot 21

1977 Triumph Stag
***NO RESERVE*** Desirable manual transmission example, retained by the same owner for 30 years

Registration – RYN 899R

Chassis No. – LD41882

M.O.T. – Exempt

Odometer – 7,242

Presented in the ever-popular combination of Tahiti Blue with a contrasting tan interior, this handsome Triumph Stag is a desirable manual overdrive example that has remained in the care of its current owner for nearly 30 years. Well cherished over the decades, it benefits from an earlier restoration and presents beautifully today, with strong panel fit, quality paintwork and a particularly inviting cabin.

The odometer displays just 7,240 miles, and an MOT history check reveals that fewer than 3,000 miles have been added since 2006 – testament to its light and considered use in recent years. The vendor informs us that the car drives as it should and has been maintained carefully throughout long-term ownership.

While the vehicle is recorded as a Category D insurance loss in 2010, this occurred during its current ownership, and we are informed the repairs were carried out professionally. The vendor informs us the car has since continued to be enjoyed and admired at car shows and car meets during its ownership its condition speaks volumes for the care it has received.

Manual overdrive Stags are widely regarded as the configuration to own, combining the elegant open-top motoring of this iconic British GT with an engaging driving experience. This particular example, complete with its impressive long-term ownership and well-preserved condition, represents a compelling opportunity for the discerning collector or enthusiast.

In summary:

- Long-term ownership of nearly 30 years and just 7,240 miles displayed

- Desirable manual overdrive model finished in Tahiti Blue with tan interior

- Offered without reserve
