An Auction of Classic and Performance Cars and Motorcycles

  Lot 22

1968 Triumph Daytona Super Sports

Registration - BGC 295G

Chassis No. - XC07033T100R

M.O.T. - Exempt

Odometer - 147

This decidedly handsome 500cc Daytona is a 1968 American export model that was repatriated in 1995 by the previous keeper. It was he that restored the bike to its current impressive standard before passing away, and from whose family the vendor acquired it three years ago. Its black frame and seat are complemented by silver mudguards and a silver and green fuel tank. The machine’s specification nowadays includes alloy wheel rims, stainless steel exhaust pipes and silencers, an electronic ignition system, new Hagon rear dampers, and a pair of Oxford heated handle bar grips. The enthusiast vendor presently considers the twin-cylinder engine, four-speed manual gearbox, frame, suspension, cycle parts, paintwork and brightwork to all be in ‘excellent’ condition, and is selling ‘BGC 295G’ complete with history file, owner’s handbook and a spare set of keys, plus a spare carburettor. A rare opportunity.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Potential buyers should satisfy themselves with the description and condition of each lot prior to sale. Each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ as per the terms and conditions for the auction, buyers are asked to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out the service. Any disputes over descriptions will not be entertained.
