1983 Audi Quattro UR 650BHP Group B Rally Evocation

Registration - FRZ 1904

Chassis No. - WAUZZZ85ZDA902092

M.O.T. - September 2023

Odometer - 11,143

No other car has had such a profound effect on world rallying as Audi’s Quattro UR, which makes this 650bhp Group B evocation an immediately exciting prospect. Yes, Group B rallying has long since been banned but, with an MSA passport valid until 2029, there is a host of other motorsport disciplines for which ‘FRZ 1904’ is eligible – sprints, hillclimbs, Sports Libre racing, tours, demos etc. Built by the renowned Irish Audi specialist Ivan Warwick in 2009/2010, it was then shipped to Kim Collins who installed its Cosworth derived RS4 powerplant, which is said to be producing a reliable 650bhp, with more available if required! Warwick apparently ran it as a safety car on the Circuit of Ireland and Donegal rallies in 2010 and 2011, clocking 167mph on one of the Donegal stages. Since acquiring the Audi in 2019, the vendor has successfully competed in a variety of different motorsport events. The specification of the enticing machine includes:

LWB Sport Quattro bodykit

2.7-litre RS4 V6 engine with hybrid K04 turbos

Six-speed S2 gearbox with CAE shifter

Competition clutch

Recently serviced Proflex suspension

Works wishbones adjustable tie bar

Movit brakes with Mintex hillclimb pads, hydraulic handbrake, brake bias

Milltek three-inch bespoke titanium exhaust

Protection for engine and differential

Bosch 044 fuel pump

Works alloy fuel tank

Safety Devices roll cage

Stack dash

Brantz rally meter with timer

Intercom

Hella 25,000 volt spotlights

Full fire suppressant system

New TRX seats with five-point harnesses

The vendor presently grades the Quattro’s engine and transmission as ‘excellent’, the bodywork and black/yellow interior trim as ‘good’ and the multi-coloured paintwork as ‘average’. Weighing in at 1600kg, ‘FRZ 1904’ is now offered complete with that all important MSA passport and an MOT valid to September 27 next year.

In summary:

  • A unique Quattro Group B rally evocation
  • Engine producing a reliable 650bhp, with more available!
  • An ideal entry for sprints, hillclimbs, Sports Libre racing etc
