An Auction of Classic and Performance Cars and Motorcycles

  Lot 24

1970 Triumph Tiger T100S
*** NO RESERVE ***

Registration - LWT 118H

Chassis No. - 49667

M.O.T. - Exempt

Odometer - 14,218

This tidy Tiger is an export model that was despatched new to the Raymond Burke Motor & Electric Co. of London, Ontario, Canada on May 7, 1970, as confirmed by the accompanying Triumph Owners Motor Cycle Club dating certificate. In recent times it was repatriated by a dealer from whom the vendor acquired the Triumph in 2019. Since assuming ownership he has tidied up the wiring and paintwork and overhauled the clutch, but only ridden it occasionally as he apparently has a collection of machines from which to choose. He informs us that six kicks are required to awaken the Tiger from slumber, after which it ‘runs very well’. He classes the 498cc twin-cylinder engine, four-speed transmission, frame and suspension as ‘excellent’, and the green paintwork, brightwork and cycle parts as ‘good’. He is now offering the bike complete with the aforementioned dating certificate and copy of its Canadian licence. The odometer currently stands at an unwarranted but perfectly credible 14,218 miles.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Potential buyers should satisfy themselves with the description and condition of each lot prior to sale. Each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ as per the terms and conditions for the auction, buyers are asked to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out the service. Any disputes over descriptions will not be entertained.
