We understand this interesting, unregistered 326cc trials machine
is complete with all its original parts, including the aluminium exhaust and correct decals. It evidently starts and rides, and is regarded by the vendor as having ‘excellent’ engine, five-speed gearbox, frame, suspension, brightwork, paintwork and cycle parts. As you can see, it is finished in green and white and sits on gold-coloured wheels. Complete Piumas such as this one are now rare, making it perfect to enjoy as it is or restore. The lightweight Piuma model was apparently developed with the aid of French trials legend Philippe Berlatier and enjoyed a big following in Europe, as well as success in the hands of such riders as the American international trials champ Bernie Schreiber.
