February 2022 Classics Auction

  Lot 3

1979 Husqvarna 390 OR
Rare Enduro Californian import, complete with dating certificate and NOVA document

Registration - N/A

Frame No. - MM02603

M.O.T. - Exempt

The OR 390 on offer was imported from the USA in 1979 and all the relevant paperwork is included in the sale. Street legal, it is equipped with the wide ratio OR gearbox, making it ideal for fast road use or desert racing. The vendor employed it for a spot of green laning a couple of years ago and declared it ‘great fun’. He is now offering the machine complete with new rear dampers and a range rear springs to suit different riders.

Now part of the Austrian KTM group, Husqvarna was founded in 1969 in the similarly–spelt Swedish town of Huskvarna. Founded to manufacture muskets, the company then turned its hand to bicycles before moving into motorcycle production in 1903, which makes it one of the longest surviving motorcycle makers in the world. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Husqvarna was a dominant force in the world of motocross, winning 14 World Championships, 24 Enduro Championships and achieving 11 Baja 1000 victories.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'
