  Lot 32

1989 Yamaha TZR 250

Registration - TBC

Chassis No. - 1KT001424

M.O.T. - February 2024

Odometer - 20,373

Believed to be a Japanese specification example, the TZR on offer was recently imported from South Africa. The related NOVA documents are all in place and the vendor is currently awaiting the arrival of a V5 from the DVLA. A recent professional check-over revealed the bike to be ‘in good order’, at which time the carburettors were set up and balanced. The vendor believes the Yamaha to be in the specification it left the factory 34 years ago and says that the tyres and brakes are ‘very good’. In summary he considers al major aspects of the TZR to be in ‘good’ condition. Yamaha’s TZR250 sports bike was a twin-cylinder two-stroke machine that remained in production from 1986 to 1995, and was loosely based on the company’s TZ250 race bike. The JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) versions were legally restricted to a power output of 45bhp.
