Registration - S805 SVM
Chassis No. - JS1AM111200100238
M.O.T. - October 2022
Odometer - 545
Now 23 years old, this time warp scooter has travelled just 545 miles from new. Evidently it was on the road for a mere two years before being stored indoors until now. The Bergman was recently recommissioned and subsequently passed a fresh MOT test, free of adversaries. The vendor considers the 250cc engine, transmission and bodywork, as ‘excellent’ and the paintwork as ‘good’. The slight markdown on the latter arguably relates not to the burgundy-coloured panelwork but the alloy wheels which have oxidised with time – a matter that should be relatively inexpensive to correct. The vendor informs us that the machine ‘runs and rides correctly and that everything works exactly as it did straight out of the showroom back in 1998’. He is now selling ‘S805 SVM’ complete with its two original keys, the new MOT that’s valid until October 13 next year, but without the V5 which has been mislaid. The sale will be at ‘No Reserve’, so represents the perhaps unique opportunity to acquire an almost as-new scooter that’s 23 years old and valued accordingly.
The AN250 version of Suzuki’s popular maxi-scooter was powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled four-stroke engine driving through a constantly variable transmission. Braking was by discs front and rear and the suspension by telescopic forks at the front and swinging arm at the rear. The model was in manufacture from 1998 to 2017, making the sale bike one of the earlier examples.
