If you like your car to turn heads, then this stunning, no-expense-spared M3 evocation could well be the transport of your dreams, being blessed with equally impressive levels of go and show. The astonishing specification is too comprehensive to do full justice to here, but we can give you a flavour of what to expect. What started life as a 325i convertible has been in the vendor’s tenure for the last five years and the transformation was complete by July 2019, since when ‘G625 0HT’ has travelled little over 2,600 miles. Its main features are an M3 replica convertible fibreglass kit and the installation of a comprehensively rebuilt E36 M3 Evo S50B32 powerplant and six-speed gearbox, plus a Z3 4.1:1 differential. The body has been reinforced all-round, the uprated suspension is adjustable front and rear, and steering is now courtesy of an E36 M3 Evo purple tag rack and pinion unit. The equally uprated braking system features E46 M3 Brembo hardware, and the Beemer now rides on 17 inch BBS split rim alloy wheels – 8.5J front and 10J rear, which are shod with 215/40ZR17 and 235/40ZR17 tyres respectively.
Having been suitably prepared, this most eye-catching of bodies was finished in House of Kolor Cobalt Blue topped up with blue pearl. The underbody was cleaned, degreased and de-rusted as necessary before being fully protected for the future, along with the chassis cavities. The hard top was refurbished and repainted in metallic black. To complete the creation of this unique BMW, it was treated to a new blue and cream custom leather interior, the luxury specification of which included ancillary gauges, double DIN radio with SAT/NAV from Sony, Sony Xplode amplifer for the rear speakers, Clifford alarm etc. This show-stopping car certainly belies its 17 owners and mileage of 110,000.
