The Bolesworth Castle November 2023 Classic & Performance Car Auction

  Lot 33

2011 Bentley GTC Supersports
Finished in striking Glacier White and riding on gloss black 20” alloy wheels

Registration - NK11 AKN

Chassis No - SCBDK23W6BC069352

M.O.T. - July 2024

Odometer - 51,600

This splendid-looking all-wheel-drive convertible combines two keystones of Bentley heritage - performance and luxury. One of just 583 GTC Supersports built, it is a fine example of the model which at its launch in 2010 Car magazine described as ‘the fastest four-seater convertible in the world’. Its six-litre, 621bhp W12 engine is capable of powering the car from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and, thanks to its ‘Flex-Fuel’ system, will run equally happily on unleaded petrol as bio-ethanol, with no reduction in power. The sale car’s Glacier White finish has recently been detailed with paint correction, and is now described by the vendor as ‘near perfect’. The interior is equally impressive, with its blend of carbonfibre facia and console, and white-piped black hide seating adorned with white-stitched grey Alcantara centres. The rear seats are effectively as-new, while the driver’s one displays ‘only the lightest of wear’. The 10-spoke 20” gloss black alloy wheels are shod in Evergreen DynaControl ES880 tyres and appear unmarked, while the spacesaver spare looks to be unused. The vendor currently describes the Bentley’s mechanicals as ‘perfect’ - likewise the electrics and black power hood. The car’s service history features seven stamps (four main dealer and three specialist) which, along with its MOT record, supports the currently displayed mileage of 51,981, that’s been amassed by the GTC’s total of four keepers. ‘NK11 AKN’ is MOT’d to July 6 next year, and comes complete with owner’s manual and a pair of keys.

In 1925 W.O. Bentley created a limited run of highly-tuned Bentley 3 Litres called the Supersports, which were based on his successful Speed model. More than eight decades later the company revived both names with the first-generation Continental GT Speed in 2008 and Supersports in 2009. At launch, the all-wheel-drive Supersports coupe was the fastest, most powerful car yet made by the company, and its first Flex-Fuel model. The convertible version followed in 2010 and, by the time Supersports production ceased a year later, 1,207 coupés and 583 convertibles had been built.

In summary:

  • A handsome example of this 621bhp, AWD, 2+2 convertible model
  • Flex-Fuel system means it will happily run on petrol or bio-ethanol
  • One of only 583 convertible Supersports produced
