This fine-looking bespoke Harley was designed and created by Mavericks. Its 1998 Sportster frame was stripped to bare metal and then deep powder coated in dark grey, while the new custom blue paintwork was complemented by a hand-crafted gold pinstripe and ensured an unusually deep shine courtesy of a multi-layer lacquer. The satin black powder-coated wheel rims feature brass tensioners, stainless steel spokes and highly polished hubs, and nestle below chopped mudguards. Other items of note include: ceramic-coated black cylinder barrels for the 883cc V-twin powerplant; Screamin’ Eagle mufflers; stage 1 air filter; tracker-style seat pad; brass headlight; side-mounted number plate; concealed lighting; and minimalist instrumentation. The rebuild included all-new wiring, an overhaul of the front forks, a fresh pair of tyres, and professional machine polishing of all aluminium items. The vendor presently grades the bike’s frame, suspension, paintwork, brightwork and cycle parts as ‘excellent’, and the engine and transmission as ‘good’. The Harley is being sold complete with a current MOT valid to March next year. A unique opportunity.

Our May auction of classic, modern classic and prestige cars and motorbikes will take place at Mavericks in Holywell, North Wales (half an hour’s drive from Chester).
There will be free parking for auction attendees.
