The Gold Cup Classic Car Auction

  Lot 38

Lot 38 - 1965 Honda C110 Sport

1965 Honda C110 Sport

Chassis No. - C110440015

M.O.T. - Exempt

Odometer - 3,873

An apparently very tidy example of the second generation C110, the sale bike is an American import that comes complete with NOVA certificate to enable UK registration. Matching a black frame to the standard chrome tank covers it is a smart, wholly practical machine which the vendor currently rates as having a ‘good’ frame, paintwork, trim, 49cc four-stroke engine and four-speed transmission, and adds that it is ‘a very good runner that features no rust or rot’. Its odometer currently registers just 3,873 miles from new, meaning the engine is arguably barely run in. The second generation C110 with its distinctive high rise exhaust system was manufactured from 1962 to 1969. Early versions had three-speed transmissions, but the sale bike benefits from the later four-speed one. Unlike the first generation 110s, the second featured a saddle strap for the pillion rider to cling onto. As practical a form of transport as the day it was made.

'A Buyer’s Premium applies to the Hammer Price of this Lot if your bid is successful, as per the following;  Motor Cars 12.5% + VAT (minimum £150 + VAT), Motorcycles and Bicycles 15% + VAT (minimum £100 + VAT); Registration Numbers 15% + VAT (minimum £50 + VAT); Automobilia 15% + VAT (minimum of £5 + VAT).'

Potential buyers should satisfy themselves with the description and condition of each lot prior to sale. Each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ as per the terms and conditions for the auction, buyers are asked to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out the service. Any disputes over descriptions will not be entertained.

Estimated at £3,000 - £4,000
