May 2022 Classics Auction

  Lot 4

2004 Audi TT 3.2 Quattro DSG

Registration - ML04 FDZ

Chassis No. - TRUZZZ8N841014154

M.O.T. - October 2022

Odometer - 133,122

Audi’s distinctively-styled TT model has long since earned its place in the world of modern classics, and good examples of the most rewarding versions have been gently rising in value for a while now. ‘ML04 FDZ’ arguably falls neatly into that category, as it is powered by the optional 3.2-litre VR6 engine, which came as standard with Audi’s much-vaunted four-wheel drive system. This set-up was paired with either a six-speed manual or dual clutch DSG transmission, and the sale car boasts the latter. A tidy example finished in silver and trimmed in black leather, it has had just three owners from new, the most recent of whom has retained the TT since 2008. She informs us that while the coupe was initially in regular use, in recent times it has become more of a weekend car, which will have helped to limit the mileage accumulation – the indicated total currently stands at 133,122. In summary she adds that the Audi is in ‘very good overall condition, always starts first time and is very reliable’, and she presently grades the engine, transmission, electrical system and upholstery as ‘excellent’, and the paintwork and bodywork (there is apparently some light bubbling around the sills) as ‘good’. The car is now being sold complete with a current MOT valid into October.

Now in its third generation, Audi’s TT has been an integral part of the Volkswagen Group’s line-up since 1998. Available from the outset as a 2+2 coupe or two-seater convertible it quickly established a firm following from those that appreciated its combination of unique looks and proven Audi mechanicals.

In summary:

  • A seemingly very honest three-owner example
  • Benefits from 3.2-litre V6 power and four-wheel drive
  • A lot of fun per pound in the current market
